NCDC organized a training cum awareness program on Fish Farmer Producer Organizations (FFPOs) promoted by Department of Fisheries, Government of India under the central sector scheme PMMSY in association with the Cooperative Department and Fisheries Department of J&K in District Samba.
Nearly 100 Fish Farmers/Fishers participated in this program.
Lt Col Ashish Mohan Agarwal, Regional Director, NCDC welcomed the participants and guests on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest, Secretary Cooperative Department Yasha Mudgal said FFPOs formed would set a milestone and uplift the social and economic status of the fishers in UT.
