In an event organized this week in Garhwal in Uttarakhand, cooperative lender NCDC gave awards to eight cooperative societies of the state for spectacular performance. The State Cooperative Minister Dhan Singh Rawat gave away the awards.
The awards have been given in two categories. Besides certificate and shield, there is also a cash reward of Rs 25 thousand for excellent cooperative and Rs 20 thousand for meritorious category award.
The name of eight cooperative societies includes Milk Producing Cooperative Society Footkua Nainital, Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Duadhar Narendranagar Tehri, Kisan Seva Sahakari Samiti Dehradun and others received the award.
Addressing the gathering Rawat said, “Cooperatives are doing praiseworthy work in state and are playing important role in generating employment”.
Besides Rawat, BJP State President Ajay Bhaat, NCDC regional director Rakesh Kumar Duha, Ritesh Meena, Mohan Lal Sharma, Maan Sing Sani and others were present.
