The National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE) has conducted 3 days Leadership Development Programme for Chairmen, Directors of SC/ST Contract/ Construction and Forest Labour Cooperatives last week at NCCE, New Delhi in which 28 participants attended.
The prime objective of the programme is to sensitize the participants to manage their cooperatives society professionally for making it viable. The board members were motivated to diversify their activities for giving regular work as well as employment to increase their income.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. V.K. Dubey, Director (NCCE). He said in his inaugural speech that labour cooperatives sector have high potentiality to develop the economic condition of labours through providing regular work / employment with remunerative wages. At present, there are more than 40 thousand labour cooperatives in India. He also requested to participants to disseminate acquired knowledge in the programme among the other society’s members.
The participants learnt about their role & responsibilities in the management of cooperative societies, scheme policies of State/ Central Govt. For giving preference to provide work in different areas, values and principles of cooperative. A study visit of NCDC and Tribes Shop had been also arranged for the participant. So, that they can observe different items of shop and they seek the possibility to prepare different items for income and employment generation of members. The programme was completed successfully on October 14, 2015. Sh. Anant Dubey, Assistant Director & Course Coordinator proposed vote of thanks on the occasion.
