NCCE joins hands with IFFDC to conduct Leadership prog

NCCE (NCUI), in collaboration with IFFDC, recently conducted a 3-day Leadership Development Program for Chairmen/Directors/Members of Farm Forestry Cooperative Societies from at Khansu village, district Nainital, Uttarakhand.

In the inaugural session, Dr. Hari Dutt Sharma, Training In-charge, IFFDC, explained about the objective of IFFDC and its schemes in detail for various types of farm forestry cooperatives in Uttarakhand.

Dr. V.K. Dubey, Advisor, NCUI, & Anant Dubey, Dy. Director, NCUI, took up various sessions during this training program. These were – cooperative ideology; values & principles; business diversification & income generation; ways to conduct different types of meetings, etc.informs a press release issued by NCCE.

The NCUI trainers answered many queries related to practical issues faced by officials from farm forestry cooperatives. These were – ways to strengthen the marketing of products; providing facilities for procession, packaging and value-addition of products; technology upgradation and the need for developing local markets for organic products etc. A total of 35 participants from five farm forestry cooperatives participated in the program.

The officials from NCUI and IFFDC assured the participants that both the organizations will guide them for strengthening and developing their societies through basic education and training modules. Dr Sharma expressed his gratitude towards NCUI for sponsoring this program.
