A training programme on “Cooperation and Cooperative Management” for officers of IFFCO at the latter’s plant Aonla in Uttar Pradesh was held with the objective to make the participants familiar with the functions of Cooperative Organizations, management and their development.
S.C. Gupta, JCM (Technical), IFFCO Aonla Plant inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural remarks, he underlined the importance of the exact knowledge of acts and rules of cooperative societies to be able to compete at the international level as multi-national companies are entering Indian market.
Dr. V. K. Dubey, Director, NCCE, New Delhi highlighted the objectives of the programme focusing on the formation of a cooperative society, its functioning, management, etc.
O.P. Mathur, DGM (Training), IFFCO Plant, Aonla, U.P., S. P. Verma, Senior Manager Training, IFFCO Plant, Aonla, U.P. and Dr. A. R. Srinath, Deputy Director, NCCE, New Delhi were also present on the occasion.
The major points discussed included History of Cooperative Movement in India, its contributions to Indian Economy, Principles, Values, Ideology and Philosophy of Cooperatives, Problems & Challenges before Cooperative Movement in India, Cooperative Management – Special Focus on IFFCO Management and its Structure, etc.
During the session, Aziz-ul-Rahman, (DGM Projects / Marketing / CORDET), IFFCO Plant, Aonla emphasized the need for sustainable development in the areas of agriculture, green house, poly house and marketing and others. He also pointed out the advantages of IFFCO Kisan Kendra, e-Bazaars in all villages for growth and development especially for farmers in the rural areas.
