The Leadership Development Training Programme for Chairman / Directors of Women Cooperatives in India consisting of 36 participants from the states of Assam, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bihar, Karnataka & Madhya Pradesh attended the programme.
The prime objective of the programme was to manage the Cooperative Society professionally for making it more viable and effective functioning and to provide the participants a platform of interaction with their counterparts from all over the states and thus facilitate learning especially for women cooperatives in India.
Inaugurated by Dr. V. K. Dubey, Director NCCE felt that Women Cooperatives in the recent years are playing very important role in the Cooperative Societies effectively so as to act as professional bodies.
Besides these, deliberations were made by the experts from Government of India and different sectors of cooperative movement. It is felt that women cooperatives through effective involvement is to develop skill based knowledge especially through SHG’s, Micro-Finance, etc., it can make cooperative societies more relevant and responsible for effective functioning.
Further, during the deliberations, it was also focussed the areas like constitution of women cooperative societies & functions of board of directors, financial interpretations, conducting meetings, preparation of proceedings etc. Participants were effectively interacted during the course of the sessions.
The participants also got inputs from the programmes about latest technologies, responsibilities in the management of cooperative societies & challenges come across for working of the women cooperative societies. The programme was concluded on 30th October 2015. The officials from Government of India, Managing Directors from different National level Organizations and Faculty of NCCE were also present.
