Even as the Modi government was busy Sunday recasting a new Cabinet with an eye to the 2019 election, a leading cooperative body in the country IFFCO held its 11th Board meeting- since the Golden Jubilee Celebrations were launched in Chandigarh, Punjab.
B S Nakai Chairman of IFFCO who was indisposed in the last Board meeting was seen presiding over the Board in, Chandigarh. “He is in the pink”, said a Board member.
Informing about the Board meeting IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi tweeted in Hindi “it was 11th Board meeting in of Golden Jubilee Year and 483th of IFFCO that was solemnized in Chandigarh on Sunday”.
Chandigarh office of IFFCO is held as an advance center where all kinds of help are given to the farmers, tweeted IFFCO MD emphasizing its importance. The entire Board visited the office and saw its operations.
In between, Dr Awasthi did not forget to congratulate the newly appointed Ministers and kept on tweeting on the issue such as “My Heartiest Congratulations & Best wishes to @sureshpprabhu Ji for becoming new minister of Commerce and Industry”. Prabhu is a cooperator having served as the Chairman of various coop bodies including Saraswat Bank in the past.
In the first week of August the IFFCO Board had met at Phulpur. Due to ill-health, Chairman B S Nakai could not attend and the Board meeting was presided over by Vice-Chairman.
