Uttarakhand-based Nainital District Cooperative Bank has reduced the interest rate on Cash Credit Limit for the government officials from the existing 11 percent to between 8.75 to 9.75 percent.
Besides, the limit being provided to government officials has been extended from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.
The decision was taken in the review meeting of branch managers held on Saturday at the bank headquarters in the presence of the bank Chairman Rajendra Singh Negi.
Soon after the meeting talking to Indian Cooperative, Negi said that the decision is to attract the government officials to the bank. It will help in increasing the business growth.
On this occasion, Negi instructed the officials to take action on the borrowers for the recovery of NPAs.
