A court in Nagpur has sentenced former Maharashtra Minister and Congress MLA Sunil Kedar to five years in jail, reports Hindu.
The case relates to the swindle of crores of rupees belonging to farmers from the Nagpur District Central Cooperative Bank (NDCCB).
Kedar, a five-term MLA was charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Later, Kedar was also suspended from Maha Assembly, leading to a murmur of protest from the Congress Party.
