Nagaland State Cooperative Bank is gearing to give special attention to rural areas and farmers of the state as was evident in its recently held board meeting. Besides, the Board reviewed financial situation and development action plans.
Talking to Indian Cooperative the bank Vice-Chairman Kekhwengulo Lea informed “We are giving our special attention to rural areas and farmers of the state so we discussed agriculture and rural development in detail in the board meeting”, said Lea. It was a regular board meeting otherwise, he added.
Temjen Toy, IAS, Chief Secretary and Finance Commissioner, Nagaland and chairman of the bank chaired the meeting.
The members lauded the management for achieving a good progress in SHG Bank linkage under National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), a flag ship program of the Government of India, where the bank was awarded National recognition commendation for outstanding performance in SHG Bank linkage during the year 2018-19.
The members present in the meeting were L.Akato Sema, IAS, Secretary Cooperation and Municipality, Nagaland, Wepe Ritse, RCS, Nagaland, S.K.Dhumal, GM(OIC), RO Nagaland, Lipoktoba Aier, MD, Nagaland State Cooperative Bank and elected Board of Directors.
