The Morung Express reports Nagaland Cooperative Societies Bill 2017, which was introduced the other day, will soon be taken up in the state assembly.
The Nagaland Cooperative Societies Bill 2017 aims to strengthen the cooperative sector in Nagaland by facilitating the growth of cooperative institutions in the state.
The bill calls for repeal of the Assam Co-operative Societies Act, 1949, which has been operative in the state from its inception till date.
