NAFED deploys mobile Vans in States to stabilize onion prices

The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (Nafed) is taking proactive steps to provide onions at subsidized rates nationwide.

To ensure accessibility to this essential commodity, Nafed has deployed mobile vans in various states, allowing consumers to easily purchase onions at reduced prices.

Currently, onions are being sold at an affordable rate of Rs 35 per kg. Nafed is actively sharing updates and photos of this initiative through its social media channels.

This service is reaching not only residents of Chandigarh but also extending to consumers in states like Bihar and Maharashtra.

By ensuring the availability of onions at these subsidized rates, Nafed is playing a crucial role in promoting food security while also supporting farmers by stabilizing market prices.
