Nafed, the agency responsible for supplying 1 kg of pulses under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojna, has begun dispatching pulses to the states and union territories, reports Business Line.
Nafed has supplied 5,516 tonnes of pulses to these states and union territories.
As per the scheme, Nafed is expected to supply 1,95,510 tonnes of processed pulses to cover around 19.6 crore households in the 36 states and union territories.
The cooperative hopes to ensure supply of the required amount of pulses for May and June.
