NABARD is set to host the State Credit Seminar for the fiscal year 2024-25 in Rajasthan today on March 5, 2024, at Hotel Lalit, Jaipur. The seminar, chaired by Additional Chief Secretary (Finance), Shri Akhil Arora, will be orchestrated by NABARD’s Rajasthan Regional Office, led by Chief General Manager Dr. Rajiv Siwach, and graced by esteemed dignitaries including ACS (PWD), Regional Director of RBI, Convenor SLBC, and Secretary-Cooperation.
Central to the event is the unveiling of the State Focus Paper for FY 2024-25, a comprehensive document collating district-level credit potentials across various rural sectors outlined in district Potential Linked Plans (PLP). These plans evaluate credit potential to enhance priority sector credit flow, aligning with governmental policies and priorities.
In the previous fiscal year, NABARD set a disbursement target of Rs. 21,707 crore for loans in Rajasthan, along with a grant disbursement target of Rs. 42.29 crore for agricultural and non-agricultural developmental projects.
Initiatives such as skill development programs, establishment of wadis and watersheds, and promotion of farmer producer organizations will be discussed, alongside a review of past endeavors and future projections during the seminar.
