To foster a deeper and wider collaboration between Rural Cooperative Banks’ (RCBs), Nabard organized a two day Fintech workshop in collaboration with the Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Lucknow.
Inaugurating the workshop, NABARD Chairman Shaji K V emphasised that rural cooperatives due to their grassroots outreach and promotion of member driven village economy, are enablers of equitable growth.
He further added that technology being a great enabler, will improve services to rural communities and also bring about operational efficiency of Rural Cooperative Banks”, he remarked.
On this occasion, NABARD Deputy Managing Director G S Rawat, Nabard CGM, IDD, S K Nanda, Reserve Bank Innovation Hub Rajesh Bansal, SBI, CGM, Rajeev Ranjan Prasad, CEOs and MDs of State Cooperative Banks, District Central Cooperative Banks, and fintech/Agri-Tech professionals. were present.
