Pioneer reports Nabard will allocate Rs 1 lakh 18 thousand 288 crores on crop loans and Rs. 62,693 crores on agricultural loans for farmers in Madhya Pradesh with a view to helping chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan fulfil his plan of encouraging entrepreneurship among farmers.
For the year 2022-23, a total loan of 2 lakh 42,967 crores is estimated, out of which about 74 per cent will be given to the agriculture sector.The figures were revealed in the “State Debt Seminar 2022-23”.
Speaking in the seminar, Finance Minister Jagdish Deora said that women empowerment and the promotion of self-help groups (SHGs) of women is one of the priorities of the state government. He praised NABARD for helping in the development of agriculture.
