Mumbai’s Citizencredit Co-op Bank donates Rs 22 lac

Mumbai based multi-state scheduled bank, Citizen Credit Cooperative Bank has donated Rs 11 lakh each to the Maharashtra CM Relief fund and the PM Cares fund.

The news was shared by Citizencredit Cooperative Bank, CEO, Chirstopher Mendoza with Indian Cooperative. The bank has also provided Rs 1 lakh to an NGO for providing the food packets to the needy of society.

Mendoza said “In order to help the government fight against the coronavirus, we have contributed Rs 11 lakh each to the CM Relief fund and the PM Cares fund. Besides, the bank’s employees are also contributing their one day’s salary which is nearly Rs 8 lakh. This will be donated to the CM Relief fund”, he added.

The bank was established as Bombay Urban Catholic Credit Society on May 8, 1920. The bank has 46 branches spread over Maharashtra, Goa and Union Territory of Daman.
