MSCB: Fadnavis installs Lord Vitthal’s idol

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on the occasion of 108th foundation day of Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank installed the idol of Lord Vitthal’s in the bank’s headquarters at Mumbai.

Besides Fadnavis, Cooperative Minister of State Subhash Rao Deshmukh, MSC Bank Chairman Vidyadhar Anaskar, Member Sanjay Bhende and others were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister also attended the Pooja celebration held in course of the installation of new idol. The idol was installed on the first day of Navaratri festival.

Later, the Chief Minister addressed the gathering present on the occasion and apprised about the significance of Lord Vitthal. “We need to save the cooperative movement as it is an integral part of our agrarian economy. We are happy that now this sector has adopted many ways and modes of transparency and helping the needy in big way”, CM wrote on his Facebook wall.

The Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank’s total business is 27,870 crore and the working capital is Rs 30 thousand crore. Last year, the bank had earned a net profit of Rs 245 crore and given 10 per cent dividend to its members.
