The Enforcement Directorate conducted searches on Friday at multiple locations linked to Baramati Agro, a company owned by MLA Rohit Pawar, the grandnephew of Rajya Sabha MP Sharad Pawar.
The searches are part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged scam involving the Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank, with at least six locations, including Baramati, Pune, Pimpri, and Aurangabad, currently under scrutiny.
The focus extends to the offices of Baramati Agro situated in Baramati town. Rohit Pawar, a 38-year-old first-time MLA faces accusations related to the diversion of funds and deposit of earnest funds in connection to a cooperative sugar factory bid.
