The Enforcement Directorate announced the provisional attachment of properties worth Rs 50.2 crore belonging to MLA Rohit Pawar’s company, implicated in a money-laundering case linked to the Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank.
The attached assets include 161.30 acres of land, a building, and machinery of the cooperative sugar factory in Kannad.
The investigation stemmed from an FIR filed by Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing, alleging fraudulent sale of cooperative sugar factories. Meanwhile, Rohit Pawar asserted that he will take the matter to the court.
