Veteran cooperator from Madhya Pradesh Bhagwati Prasad Mishra, who was on the Board of several co-op federations including NCUI, NAFCUB and Nafed, among others in the past, passed away on 1st November, according to a late report coming in.
Mishra who was vice-president of NCUI for three consecutive terms was 83 and was battling kidney failure for several months. He was admitted in Bombay Hospital Indore.
His son Arvind Kumar Mishra informs, “My father’s both the kidneys had stopped working and he was admitted in hospital for last 10 days”.
Besides being the Vice President of National Cooperative Union of India, he also headed MP State Cooperative Union and Nagarik Sahakari Bank, Indore.
He was also the vice-president of apex body of Urban Cooperative Banks NAFCUB during 1986-87 when S.S.Sisodia was the president. Mishra was also on the board of NAFED.
