National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC)-the body aimed at strengthening co-ops through fund and ideas has agreed to provide cooperative Markfed in MP with Rs 580 crore for buying pulses this year, reports PTI.
The ministry has also okayed under the Price Support Scheme (PSS), procurement of 11,250 tonnes of Urad and 55,500 tonnes of Moong to be grown in the 2017 kharif season. Pulse prices are likely to fall this year due to record production.
