The Lokayukta police in Madhya Pradesh raided premises of a cooperative committee manager in Ujjain and unearthed assets worth over Rs 2.5 crore, reports Hindustan Times
Lokayukta sources are quoted as saying complaints of corruption were pouring in against the manager of a cooperative committee at village Ambodia under the district cooperative bank. The accused was responsible for sanctioning agricultural loans to farmers.
A case under sections of prevention of corruption Act 1988 has been registered.
