Indore bench of MP high court has stayed elections to select new board of directors of Madhya Pradesh Rajya Sahkari Bank, popularly known as Apex Bank, reports Times of India.
Manoharlal Sethia, resident of Jhabua had filed a petition challenging the state cooperative election officer’s decision to hold election of the Apex bank in the next days.
The petitioner said 10 directors of the Apex bank are to be elected by delegates of 38 district cooperative banks of state. However at present, only 20 district cooperative banks have elected delegates.
The posts of delegates of 18 banks are vacant due to pending elections and other reasons.
