The Hindu reports Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi founder and Chidambaram MP Thol. Thirumavalavan has called upon Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to reserve top posts for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes and women in co-operative bodies in Tamil Nadu.
According to him, this would amount to ensuring social justice.
Thirumavalavan praised cooperatives for contributing to economic development and for helping scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and women gain self -respect in Tamil Nadu.
