Free Press reports while the Kamal Nath govt was intending to waive off loans taken by farmers in Alot assembly constituency in MP, the new BJP govt and cooperative banks seem not to favor the waiver.
The amount to be waived off is 75 percent of the loans given as insurance money for the soybean crops affected by incessant rains.
This insurance was given during the Kamal Nath regime in 2019.
It is worth recalling that following a survey the insurance company had approved an insurance of 124 crores for the farmers of Alot assembly constituency.
