In an official statement, Dombivli Nagari Sahakari (DNS) Bank said depositors’ money is safe in the wake of a cyberattack that took place recently disturbing the ecosystem of UCBs in the country.
“No customer deposits were damaged. The Bank’s economic condition is strong and all deposits are safe. All banks whose accounts have been diverted to this amount have been informed about this and are trying to withdraw money from those banks. Getting the support of banks. The information was shared by the bank President Adv. Ganesh Vasant Dhargalkar was later on shared by RBI Central Board director Satish Marathe on his Facebook wall.
“The IT department of Dombivali Bank has taken adequate measures to identify such cyberattacks immediately. Because of these measures and vigilance, the attack was noticed in time and immediate action was taken against it”, it further reads.
It bears recall that Cyber fraudsters hacked the server of DNS Bank and siphoned off over Rs 1.51 crore on 12 March 2022.
