The reports about contributions being made by cooperative institutions in fighting the corona virus are continuously pouring in at the desk of Indian Cooperative.
Mumbai based Model Cooperative Bank has donated Rs 5.50 lakh towards the CM Relief Fund in order to help the state government fight against the Coronavirus.
Sharing the news with Indian Cooperative correspondent, the bank’s CEO William D’Souza, “In order to help the state government our bank has contributed a fund of Rs 5.50 lakh towards the state Chief Minister relief fund on Tuesday. We have made the contribution through RTGS in the relief fund account”.
“Employees of the bank have also generously contributed their one day’s salary in the relief fund. Besides, directors associated with the bank are independently helping the needy with essential items”, he informed.
The bank CEO said ” we have taken every safety measure to prevent the spread of corona virus. Sanitizers have been provided to all branches & offices and advised to ensure that every customer who visits the branch / ATM shall use it while entering the premises.
