Brihan Mumbai Nagari Sahakari Banks Association, Mumbai, has bestowed the 2nd prize for overall best performance on Model Cooperative Bank for the fifth time in a row. The award giving ceremony was held at Prabhadevi, Mumbai.
The Model Bank won the prize for the Financial Year 2018 – 19 in the category of Deposits between Rs.501 to Rs. 2000 crores , claims the press release. The function was attended by scores of top people from co-operative banks.
The association Chairman Kashinath More presented the award to Model Co-operative Bank. Chairman Mr. Albert W. D’Souza, Director Mr. Paul Nazareth, General Manager & CEO Mr. William L. D’Souza and Deputy General Manager Mr. Zenon D’Cruz were present on the occasion.
The Bank has its roots in the Mangalorean Catholic Co-operative Credit Society, which was registered on 26th April, 1916.
The release claimed that the UCB has completed 103 years of its foundation and is proud to receive this award in recognition of its excellent services. We are constantly riding the path of progress and is on the threshold to attain Scheduled Status.
