In a bid to disseminate information about initiatives taken by the Union Ministry of Cooperation in strengthening the cooperative movement of the country, a virtual meeting of cooperators associated with urban cooperative banks federations, credit cooperative societies federations, urban cooperative banks was organized on Thursday.
The meeting witnessed the active participation from the representatives of the cooperative banks and the meeting was organized in two time slots. The first time slot was between 11:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M. in which around 600 people attended whereas in the other time slot, 350 people participated.
Sharing the meeting details, Union Ministry of Cooperation’s Deputy Secretary Kapil Meena, who was the key person in organizing the meeting, said, “We have organized a meeting virtually to give a presentation on various initiatives taken by the MoC for Nafcub members”, he said.
In the meeting, information was shared with the representatives of cooperative banks about initiatives like allowing UCBs to open new branches, offering doorstep banking services to customers, appointment of nodal offices in RBI and others.
It bears recall that so far the Union Ministry of Cooperation organized a series of meetings of representatives of 15 National level Cooperative Federations.
