Union Minister of State for Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of Janata Sahakari Bank, Pune, last week, where he praised the bank for its significant contributions to the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.
Mohol, who is also one of the shareholders of the bank, was warmly welcomed by Chairman Ravindra Balwant Hejib, CEO Jagdish Kashyap, and others. During the visit, the bank’s office bearers briefed the minister on the various activities being conducted to benefit the downtrodden and underserved sections of society.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the bank recently organized a medical check-up camp for the cleaning staff of the Pune Municipal Corporation.
In addition to providing health services, the bank also distributed gloves to the workers as a token of appreciation for their hard work in maintaining the city’s cleanliness.
Mohol commended the bank’s dedication to social welfare, particularly its focus on supporting the frontline workers who contribute to the Swachh Bharat mission.
