Hindu reports Karnataka Cooperation Minister S.T. Somashekar has pulled up district credit cooperative (DCC) banks officials for giving loans to sugar factories existing outside the Bengaluru division.
The minister asked them to concentrate on giving loans to farmers.
Somasekhar said Rs 14,500 crore would be disbursed as small- and medium-term loans to farmers during 2020-21.
