The farmers’ cooperative IFFCO is launching IFFCO Bazar across states and in this series invited Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh to inaugurate a Bazar in Kesariya, Bihar. Aimed to provide products like Urea, Fertilizers, NPK, DAP and others under one roof, the Bazar network is gaining in strength.
Earlier, the fertilizer cooperative had opened IFFCO Bazar in Parsathua and Kargahar in Rohtas district of Bihar and Thottiyam in Tiruchirapalli district of Tamil Nadu, as reported in these columns.
Union Minister Singh shared the information through social media in Hindi “Inaugurated IFFCO Bazar in Kesariya (East Champaran) and later addressed farmers present during the ceremony.”
IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi also tweeted about the event. IFFCO Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar accompanied the minister on the occasion.
Presently, products being made available to the farmers include seeds, fertilizers, bio fertilizers, pesticide, bio stimulants, cattle feed etc. The facility of Soil testing is also provided through these Centers.
IFFCO Bazar also provides other Products & Services such as Health Check-up, Micro Banking, solar LED lights etc.
IFFCO Bazar has unveiled a Franchisee model and Kisan Mitra scheme to partner with the rural India and to promote Women Empowerment. These models have special incentives for Women entrepreneurs, claims its website.
