Haryana Public Works Minister, Rao Narbir Singh inaugurated the first ATM of the Gurgaon Central Cooperative Bank recently. The ATM was installed at the bank’s headquarters in civil lines, Gurgaon.
Speaking on the occasion, Narbir said the initiative will bring cooperative sector closer to the common people. Talking about various schemes launched by the state govt. to promote cooperative banks, the minister said interest on loans taken by farmers from cooperative banks will be waived off. This will greatly benefit cooperative banks as well as farmers, the minister remarked.
The Bank’s chairman Chandraveer said cooperative banks are traditional banks in rural areas. With technological facilities available, cooperative banks’ will offer their services with a new dimension.
Bank’s General Manager Prashant Yadav said now customers of cooperative banks will get 24 hours banking opportunity.
Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Satish Rohilla General Manager of Cooperative Bank Rewari, Jitendra Singh, General Manager of Mahendragarh Cooperative Bank, Ramveer Yadav and others were present on the occasion.
