Nafcub President Jyotindrabhai Mehta paid a courtesy call on Gyanesh Kumar, Secretary, Union Minister of Cooperation on Thursday at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan, New Delhi.
Mehta discussed the issues pertaining to the cooperative sector on this occasion. He met Kumar soon after the meeting of MD/CEs of National Cooperative Federation was wrapped up.
Nafcub Director, O P Sharma among others, accompanied him. After the meeting, talking to the Indian Cooperative correspondent, Mehta said, “It was a courtesy call and different subjects related to UCBs were brought up for discussion. The meeting was fruitful”.
Later on, the social media handle of Nafcub wrote on his twitter wall, “Sh.Jyotindra Mehta (President, NAFCUB), Sh. O.P Sharma (Director, NAFCUB) and Sh.Yogesh Sharma(C.E, NAFCUB) meeting with Sh. Gyanesh Kumar (Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation) to discuss issues related to the Urban Cooperative Banking Sector”.
It bears recalling that Mehta was in town for a couple of days and met scores of leaders. He also met NCDC MD Pankaj Bansal and attended the board meeting of NAFFAC. “I try to meet as many people as possible during my Delhi visit”, stated Mehta.
