Mudit Verma, a senior co-operator from Uttar Pradesh was felicitated at the 44th Nafcub AGM on his victory at the NCUI elections.
The apex body of UCBs and Credit co-ops wanted to felicitate the two winners -H K Patil and Mudit Verma but the former could not make it to the AGM.
Verma, who had lost in the last GC election had a smooth sailing this time round as his candidature was supported by both the sides- Chandra Pal & Bijendra as well as Sahakar Bharati.
A mild-mannered Verma is credited with debating democratically on issues that come up in the Governing Council meeting. Despite being close to Chandra Pal he used to raise many questions in his last tenure, recalled old-timers.
