That a state unit of BJP together with RSS could establish a cooperative society to sell beef strains belief. But this is what has been reported by a prominent Kerala newspaper, reports local media.
According to the report, the co-operative society has been formed by a BJP district president. The report adds it would function in the sectors of procuring meat, including beef, and fish, its treatment and trade.
An office has also been set up for the same near Thiruvampady temple in Thrissur district.
It has been claimed that the society would also focus on the importance of nurturing cattle for meat, its sale to the public both in wholesale and retail scheme, a supermarket to sell meat-related food materials.
Taking a dig at the BJP, political opponents have described it as the Hindu party embracing the economics of cow-protection.
