Mathura: UP Co-op Minister Shivpal under lens

The name of Uttar Pradesh cooperation minister Shivpal Singh Yadav is being talked about as the man who lent unstinted support to the accused of the Mathura massacre Ramvrikhsa Yadav. Several people lost their lives when police tried to evict illegal occupiers from Jawahar Bag last week.

BJP is training its guns on Shivpal also the younger brother of SP patron Mulayam Singh Yadav. It is being said that both Ramvriksha and Shivpal are gurubhais (spiritual brothers) who had taken diksha from the famed Jaigurudev.

Media reports point out that capturing about 280 acres of land in downtown Mathura was not possible without the support of a political big-wig and it was none other than Shivpal Singh Yadav. Incidentally, Shivpal is also the father of IFFCO Director and ICA Board member Aditya Yadav.

BJP leaders including Uma Bharati has demanded CBI enquiry into the matter. The delay by the state govt in giving the CBI enquiry the green signal is lending credence to charges being hurled at Shivpal.

Also the kind of fire-arms and ammunitions that were stockpiled over the years at Jawahar Bag could not have been possible without the patronage of somebody powerful in the govt, argue media reports.
