Karnataka based Manavi Urban Cooperative Bank has bagged the Banco Award 2017 in the category of business mix of about 250-350 crore in a function held at Hotel Novotel, Hyderabad,last week.
The award was given by Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Mohammad Mahmood Ali in the presence of other dignitaries. The Bank directors and CEO Nagaraj Madival received the award on behalf of the UCB.
It is said that 500 applications from more than 1200 Cooperative Banks had been received for the award.
Atul Khirdwadkar, CEO of Kalayan Janata Sahakari Bank was one of the jury members for short-listing the name for the Banco Award.
Ahmadabad District Cooperative Bank bagged the Best District Bank Award which was received by Samay Vora Deputy General Manager of the bank. Several banks were given the Banco awards across categories.
