Karnataka Arya Vysya Mahasabha has awarded Manavi Urban Cooperative Bank Chairman Thimmaiah Shetty for his exemplary work in uplifting the rural economy through cooperatives in a function organized in Bangalore recently.
Shetty has been associated with the cooperative movement for 43 years and been the founder of Karnataka based Manavi UCB.
The award consists of a Shawl, Memento and cheque of Rs 10,000 besides others things.
Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister of Karnataka, K S Eshwarappa, D H Shankaramurty, Member of Parliament, Bangalore Central, P C Mohan and others were present on the occasion.
Karnataka Arya Vysya Mahasabha has felicitated the awardees in 15 categories including Agriculture, Literature, Start-up and others.
