Uttar Pradesh based Mainpuri District Cooperative Bank issues notices to over 8600 farmers for the repayment of loans, says a media report.
The management has asked the loanees to deposit the loan amount by 30th September.
It is to be mentioned here that the bank gives loans to farmers at a minimum rate of interest, but 8600 farmers of the district did not deposit the loan amount despite many reminders from the bank.
On an average Rs 19 crore has been outstanding against these farmers, and many farmers are those who had taken loans 17 years back.
