RBI has asked 52 cooperative banks in Pune to improve their cyber security system given the growing incidence of online crimes in the city, reports HT.
The directions are supposed to have been issued to protect the deposits of countless investors which are vulnerable to the online criminals and predators. The cooperative dept said directions are mandatory and all cooperative banks will have to abide by them.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Urban Cooperative Banks Federation has called upon its member banks to comply with the directives.
