The much-touted ‘Sahakar Samvad’ portal was launched recently in Mumbai. The portal was launched by the Maharashtra Cooperation Minister Dilip Walse Patil in the presence of Prakash Darekar, Chairman, Maharashtra State Cooperative Housing Federation, among others.
It is an initiative by the Maharashtra State Co-operative Housing Federation Ltd., is a dedicated online platform designed to address grievances within the co-operative housing societies of Maharashtra.
The officials of the cooperative department will monitor the online portal. It is expected to give benefit to around 1.25 lakh cooperative societies in Maharashtra and more than 30 million are its members.
The primary objective of the portal is to establish a seamless and transparent mechanism through which members, prospective members, and other stakeholders can raise their concerns related to matters falling within the jurisdiction of the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies.
A nominal fee of Rs 50 is applicable for filing each complaint. The charges collected from members will be utilized for the maintenance and updates of the portal and for providing training and education to members of cooperative housing societies exclusively.
A very good initiative that may immensely help members of co-operative Societies.
When this portal become operative as I tried lodging a complaint but did not succeed.
Regards.
