While issuing guidelines for holding AGMs by cooperative bodies in the state, the Maharashtra govt has asked cooperative institutions to hold these meetings virtually due to Covid 19, reports Free Press Journal.
However, cooperative organisations with less than 50 members are allowed to hold AGMs physically. A source close to the coop depts said cooperatives would have to strictly abide by Covid 19 protocols in view of the possibility of a third wave.
As per the guidelines, cooperative bodies will be expected to organise AGMs taking advice from experts or agencies.
