Four masked men looted 400 sovereigns of gold jewellery from a Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS) after attacking the person in charge of security at Athapadakki village near Kalayarkoil in Sivaganga district in Tamil Nadu, reports Indian Express.
The culprits tied up the watchman with a rope and opened the gate and lockers using duplicate keys. They also disconnected the burglar alarm. Also, the PACS does not have any CCTV cameras so no footage of the incident is available. Locals saw guard tied up and alerted the PACS president.
Based on a complaint, police registered a case and recorded the fingerprints. Top police officials inspected the spot.
