Maharashtra Urban Cooperative Banks Federation (MUCBF) President Ajay Bramhecha has been elected as the Chairman of Nashik based Lasalgaon Merchants Cooperative Bank, in an election held on Tuesday.
Besides, Dr Rashika Patil was elected as the Vice-Chairperson of the bank.
Soon after the election, talking to the Indian Cooperative correspondent Bramhecha said, “I have been elected as the Chairman of Lasalgaon Merchants Cooperative Bank. I am very thankful to our board who have reposed faith in me and given me such a big responsibility”.
“I will work together with our directors to take the bank to newer heights. Our plan is to open more and more branches of the bank and double the business of the bank in the span of five years. At present the bank has three branches but our plan is to open three new branches whereas our bank business mix is around Rs 300 crore but we will double it”, he added.
It bears recalling that in the election of 19 seats of the board directors, the panel led by Bramhecha, won all the seats. In the newly elected board, 8 directors are new.
