Traders of Kurumbur who have deposited their money in Kurumbur Agriculture Cooperative Thrift Society have urged district authorities to help them get their money back, reports Hindu.
According to them, they are not able to withdraw their money in the wake of a swindle of funds indulged in by functionaries of the thrift society.
It is said all accounts are frozen. The traders of Kurumbur were saving their money ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 1,000 a day in the Society. The total amount deposited by 250 traders of Kurumbur stood at Rs 42 lakh.
