Kurla Nagarik Sah Bank: Decision on Chairman postponed

The crucial meeting organized for Thursday to settle the dispute of the board of directors of Mumbai based Kurla Nagarik Sahakari Bank at the Registrar office in Konkan Bhavan, has been postponed till 31st May 2021.

Confirming the news, the bank Chairman Kisan Madane said, the registrar office has postponed the meeting till 31st May 2021 due to covid-19. The next date for the meeting will be informed to us.

Readers would recall that the board of directors of the bank is moving a no confidence motion against Kisan Madane.

Directors against the Chairman allege bank’s Chairman Madane has done nothing for the development of the bank ever since he took over and in the interest of the bank there is a need to change the Chairman. Interestingly, there is no allegation of misappropriation of funds against the Chairman who took over charge of the bank in February 2020.

It is reported that there are 16 directors out of which only four are with the Chairman and the rest are against him.
