Business Line quotes Karnataka cooperation minister ST Somasekher saying the state Government will implement common software for all the PACS, DCCs and the Karnataka State Cooperative Apex Bank.
The minister revealed it while talking to journalists in Mangaluru. Karnataka has 5400 PACS and 21 DCC banks. The estimated cost will be ?198 crore. The minister said the software would help cooperative institutions function more efficiently and smoothly.
Somashekhar also said the Cooperation Department will disburse ?20,810 crore loans at zero percent interest rate to 30 lakh farmers, through PACS and DCC banks, in the State during 2021-22.
