Even as AP chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy called for the boosting of the state’s exports to the tune of Rs. 3.5 lakh crore in five years, AP’s State Export Promotion Board approved of a bioethanol plant to be set up at Sarvepalli in Nellore district by KRIBHCO with an investment of ?560 crore, reports Hindu.
The plant is expected to give employment to hundreds of people.
The KRIBHCO officials are reported to have revealed to the Chief Minister that they are planning to set up seed processing plants and some other units in the State.
Sources say the fertiliser cooperative KRIBHCO is sincerely interested in helping AP realize its potential for development.
